Icon System
The Hudson County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs is the driving force behind the promotion and sponsorship of the arts, events, and tourism efforts for all of Hudson County, New Jersey. Accompanying the website refresh, an icon system was developed to increase interest, aid user navigation, and add a layer of context for the various content categories.
The need to be informative and stay on theme is paramount to the successful creation of an icon system. These icons were developed as needs arose, so being able to define and extend commonalities through multiple delivery phases was an important process for achieving the cohesive finished product.
