Translating Afruz’s ability to capture and manipulate light within her own work meant that special considerations needed to be made for how the tarot box could exhibit this non-tangible effect. A linear pattern inspired from the artist’s original artwork was developed and blind printed on the box exterior. The pattern reflected light, appearing and disappearing under changing conditions. This subtle printing process allowed the packaging to be ornately beautiful yet captivatingly mysterious.
